Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, full name Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, was an Indian scientist, engineer, and statesman. He was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, India, and passed away on July 27, 2015.



Dr. Kalam made significant contributions to India's space and missile programs. He played a key role in the development of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and was instrumental in the success of India's first indigenous satellite launch vehicle (SLV-III) and the development of ballistic missile technology.


In 2002, he became the 11th President of India and served in that position until 2007. During his presidency, he was widely known as the "People's President" for his approachable and down-to-earth nature. Dr. Kalam was admired for his vision for India's future, focus on youth and education, and his dedication to inspiring and mentoring students.


He was a prolific writer and authored several books, including "Wings of Fire" and "Ignited Minds," which inspired and motivated many people, especially the youth of India.

APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, passed away on July 27, 2015. He collapsed while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong in Meghalaya. He was immediately taken to the Bethany Hospital in Shillong, where efforts were made to revive him. However, he couldn't be saved and was pronounced dead due to a cardiac arrest. The nation mourned his loss, and his contributions to science, education, and leadership were remembered with great admiration and respect.
